I am somewhere cold and snowy, and it’s understood that we’ve
been outside for a period of time. I and the two people I am with are ready to leave.
One of the people is a previous boyfriend. We get into a big pickup truck and I
am in the middle. Oddly enough, the steering wheel is in the middle (as opposed
to the driver’s side of the car). Although I have never driven a truck before, it
is decided that I will drive since I am already in the middle where the steering
wheel is. The set up is very uncomfortable and disorienting. I have to sit with
the shifting gear between my legs. The gas pedal is on the right to be operated
with my right foot while the brake is on the left to be operated by my left. We
leave and soon meet a steep left hand turn which is hard to make with the snowy
conditions, but we make it. We arrive at our destination and get out of the
truck. I turn to the previous boyfriend and tell him that this is the last time
I will ever drive a truck. As I say this, I wonder why he didn’t drive since he
always owned a truck.
